Zalando continues to increase its revenue and profits during the second quarter of the year. At the same time, the acquisition of About You contributes with over 10 million euros.

During the second quarter, Zalando's gross merchandise volume increased by 20.7 percent to 4.9 billion euros. The group's revenue amounted to 3.4 billion euros, representing a 20.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Adjusted operating profit increased by 10 percent to 205 million euros.

Rapid Growth for B2B and Partner Business

In addition to consumer trade, Zalando's B2B sales have also grown. B2B revenue increased by 27.6 percent to 335 million euros.

Adjusted operating profit within the segment rose to 41 million euros, compared to 11 million euros during the same period of the previous year.

Our rapidly growing AI features are already delivering measurable benefits by driving both growth and efficiency in B2C and B2B. Innovations such as our AI-powered Scayle Studios and the upgraded Zalando Assistant are fundamentally changing how our partners work and how our customers discover fashion, says Robert Gentz, co-CEO of Zalando

Zalando's in-house software unit, the B2B platform Scayle, has quickly attracted several external customers. More than 100 brands have joined the AI platform within two and a half months of its launch.

At the same time, the number of active customers on Zalando's consumer apps has grown by 18.3 percent, reaching 62.5 million. Revenue from retail media also increased, rising by 39.5 percent during the quarter.

Revised Forecast for Full Year 2026

In connection with the quarterly report, the company management adjusts and refines the forecast for the full year 2026 in line with market expectations.

Zalando now estimates that growth in gross merchandise volume and revenue will be in the lower half of the previously communicated range of 12 to 17 percent. The forecast for adjusted operating profit is narrowed to between 680 and 720 million euros, from the previous range of 660 to 740 million euros.

Our resilient profitability reflects the quality and mix of our revenues, including the shift towards our higher-margin partner business and retail media, the creation of scalability within B2B, and disciplined cost management supported by AI. Our focus is as always on executing our strategy, investing in the opportunities ahead of us and delivering high-quality financial performance in 2026, says Anna Dimitrova, CFO of Zalando.
