The past few years have brought about a transformation for Båstad-based Willab Garden, which sells greenhouses and conservatories via e-commerce and physical showroom stores. Following the pandemic boom, the company saw sales decline by over 200 million Swedish krona from a peak of just over 880 million krona. Last year, Ehandel.se also reported how profits were almost wiped out for Willab Garden when operating profit fell by 90 percent to 2.4 million krona in 2024.
Now, the latest annual report for the 2025 financial year shows that the group has broken the downward trend. Net sales increased by 6.7 percent, corresponding to 38.5 million krona, to 614.5 million krona compared to 576 million krona the previous year.
Quadrupled Operating Profit
The increased sales have had a clear impact on the bottom line. The group's operating profit amounted to 10.6 million krona in 2025, an increase of 350 percent compared to last year's 2.4 million krona.
Profit after financial items rose from 966,000 krona to 8.5 million krona, an increase of nearly 800 percent.
German Expansion and Re-opening in Bromma
During the past year, the group, under the leadership of CEO Anders Williamsson, has made investments totaling 17 million krona. The capital has primarily gone to the new warehouse in Munka-Ljungby and to property interiors.
At the same time, the company continues to expand its presence outside the Nordic countries. After launching German e-commerce in 2023, Willab Garden took the next step in spring 2025 by establishing the German subsidiary Willab Garden GmbH. In connection with this, a combined showroom and store was also opened in Seelze near Hanover to scale up the German e-commerce business.
Investments in physical display environments have also continued at home after the end of the financial year. In March 2026, the company re-opened a 2,000 square meter showroom and store in Bromma.
Celebrating 40 Years – Planning New Large-Scale Facility
While the family-owned company celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, it is preparing for the next major growth step at home. The company has outgrown its premises in Östra Karup outside Båstad and is planning a new large-scale facility of 10,000 square meters for warehousing, logistics and offices on a seven-hectare plot of land adjacent to its current operations.
The construction plans have been under review by the Båstad municipality during the year and are a central part of the company's long-term strategy to manage increased demand and prepare logistics for continued European expansion.
In the annual report, management notes that the market environment continues to be characterized by geopolitical tensions and cautious households. However, the company is optimistic about future developments and plans continued investments in digitization, product development and the German market.
