During the period of April to June, net sales increased by 54.7 percent to approximately SEK 1.2 billion, compared to SEK 761.4 million during the same period last year. Operating profit also increased, reaching SEK 55.3 million, which is an increase of 41.1 percent from last year's SEK 39.2 million. Adjusted EBITA profit amounted to SEK 88 million.
Organic growth amounted to 21.6 percent, which the company says is driven by good availability of products within, among other things, cycling and running during the spring and early summer. The Group's CEO notes that the company's current market position is yielding results.
We are well positioned in a growing market where we continue to gain market share – with organic growth of 21.6 percent and a total increase in net sales of 54.7 percent during the quarter, says Ted Sporre, CEO of WeSports Group.
Continues to Acquire Companies
In addition to organic sales, the Group's business model is largely based on acquiring Nordic specialist companies and bringing them together under the same platform. During the quarter, WeSports Group increased its ownership in SkiCom Sweden from 51 to 80 percent, and in Bikelease from 60 to 100 percent.
After the end of the quarter, the Group also acquired 65 percent of the Finnish company Elite Fitness, which focuses on sports nutrition. The company had a turnover of approximately EUR 8 million during the calendar year 2025, and the acquisition, according to WeSports Group, will create more opportunities for cross-selling between brands.
The focus going forward is now on continuing expansion and reaching a total turnover of SEK 10 billion.
We have the right team, long-term owners and a robust Nordic base of leading specialist companies in a growing market. Together, this gives us a better starting point than ever before in the work to reach our financial goals – an adjusted EBITA margin of 7–8 percent and a turnover of SEK 10 billion in 2031, says Ted Sporre.
