While the Swedish core business is declining in terms of turnover, underwear group Timarco is expanding its position abroad.

An expansion into ten new countries has doubled sales for the European subsidiary, while an investment in AI is expected to rationalize operations going forward. In addition, a substantial dividend awaits the owners.

The Timarco Group, headquartered and with warehousing in Arlandastad, Sigtuna municipality, recently closed the books for the 2025 fiscal year. The company handles over 250,000 packages annually with a merchandise value exceeding SEK 175 million.

In the operative parent company, Timarco Sweden AB, turnover decreased by 9 percent to SEK 120.2 million (131.8). Despite the decrease, profit after financial items strengthened slightly, landing at SEK 7.3 million (7).

The year's profit after tax totaled SEK 5.75 million. The stable result means that the board now proposes a dividend of SEK 7 million to the owners.

Shifting Sales Abroad

The management report states that the decreased turnover in the Swedish company is a conscious strategy. The group is continuing to steer sales towards its national subsidiaries around Europe.

At the same time, the company has phased out sales via external marketplaces in favor of its own e-commerce channels.

This is particularly noticeable in the subsidiary Timarco Europe AB. During the year, the company took over responsibility for sales in a total of ten new countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal and Switzerland.

The offensive quickly made its mark on the books. Turnover doubled to just over SEK 7 million (3.5). Profit after financial items also improved, but still showed a small loss of SEK -561,000 (-SEK 1.1 million).

AI to Lead to Efficiency

In addition to geographical expansion, a strong focus is on technological development. The Timarco Group, which today employs around 50 people, has invested in AI in recent years, an investment that is expected to yield returns soon.

Integration of AI support has continued during the year and facilitates a number of operational moments in the business. In 2026, the investments in AI integration made in recent years are expected to begin to yield measurable effects in the business, the company writes.

The company management is clear about what the technology should achieve and signals that it will affect resource needs:

The company assesses that this will contribute to higher quality and increased accuracy in a number of processes, as well as enable a certain rationalization of resources within the affected functions, the board states in the management report.

Tougher for Gasello – but Uppercut Delivers

For Timarco International AB, which operates, among other things, the Swedish e-commerce site Gasello.se and the group's sales in Germany and Austria, the year was considerably tougher.

Turnover fell from SEK 17.9 million to SEK 13.9 million. In addition, the company turned last year's profit into a loss of SEK -517,000 after financial items, and received a group contribution of SEK 518,000 to cover it.

The outlook is brighter for the subsidiary Upperty AB, which operates the underwear store Uppercut.se. Although turnover fell marginally to SEK 8 million (8.4), operating profit more than doubled to SEK 2.1 million (0.8).

After a profit after financial items of SEK 2.1 million, the company was in turn able to send SEK 2 million in group contributions.

The Timarco Group is ultimately owned by Cypriot Grandmount Limited via Timarco Holding AB, with Giorgio Timarco as CEO.
