Tehuset Java, founded in Lund as early as 1932, is a family-owned company focusing on coffee, tea, and gift items. The business has grown over the years from the original general store-like shop to a chain with physical stores in Stockholm, Lidingö, Marstrand, and, since April 2025, also in Gothenburg. The company's e-commerce platform was launched in 2011 to broaden its reach outside of Scania and is now an integral part of the business.

In the recently finalized annual report for the fiscal year 2025/2026 (May 2025 to April 2026), the company reports increased revenue. Net sales amounted to 76.7 million Swedish kronor, compared to 62.3 million Swedish kronor during the previous year. Operating profit increased from 3.3 million Swedish kronor to 4.1 million Swedish kronor. The workforce has also grown, from an average of 26 employees to 34 employees during the period.

The company's management report describes the development:

The company has experienced good growth during the fiscal year with positive development across all sales channels – e-commerce, stores, and B2B.

A specific factor highlighted as driving sales is the company's corporate sales (B2B) related to design rights.

The license collaboration with Stig Lindberg has developed well and contributed to increased sales, primarily within the B2B segment. The Japanese market, in particular, has shown strong demand for the products.

The management report also states that the company has been forced to adapt its logistics to meet demand, and that it has noticed increased overhead costs.

To meet continued increased demand, the company has implemented efficiencies in warehouse operations and strengthened its logistical capacity. Costs for import and transport have increased, mainly due to higher fuel costs, but the impact on operations has been limited.

The company also notes that tariffs on porcelain from China have had a certain, but limited, impact.

As part of its forward strategy, Tehuset Java announces that after the end of the fiscal year, it has obtained the rights to sell an Advent calendar based on motifs from Moomin. This is described by management as a strategically important initiative for both B2B and the company's own channels in the coming year.
