Rescue attempt collapses?

The rescue attempt for Teknikproffset's new parent company came to an abrupt end. After the court terminated the ongoing corporate restructuring, the e-retailer is now immediately thrown into the next nightmare. A completely new, and much more serious, threat has landed on the court's desk in the form of a bankruptcy application, and the deadline for survival is quickly running out.

The developments surrounding Teknikproffset's new parent company, TP E-commerce Nordic AB, are taking a new and dramatic turn.

Today, September 23, 2026, a bankruptcy application has been submitted to the Gothenburg District Court. The court records show that a bankruptcy case has been established with the e-retailer as the debtor. Whether the application was submitted by the company itself or by an external creditor will be clear as soon as the District Court releases the documents.

The urgent bankruptcy application lands on the court's desk immediately following another major setback for the e-retailer. The Gothenburg District Court has just decided to terminate the company's corporate restructuring following strong objections from the Swedish Tax Agency.

Teknikproffset has been turbulent since last year when the Swedish Tax Agency initiated an investigation into suspected VAT fraud linked to the e-retailer's supply chain.

To save the business, the previous parent company was declared bankrupt and operations were transferred to the new company TP E-commerce Nordic AB. Now, even this lifeline is facing closed doors.

Restructuring Abruptly Terminated

The corporate restructuring for TP E-commerce Nordic AB began on August 27, 2026, with the e-retailer itself being the applicant. But the process was very short-lived. Already on September 14, the restructuring was marked as terminated in the authorities' registers, and on September 21, 2026, the case was formally dismissed at the Gothenburg District Court.

The Swedish Tax Agency, which has been investigating the e-retailer's trade in, among other things, electronic goods such as Apple Airpods for some time, strongly reacted to the financial arrangement and thus stopped the proceedings.

In addition to the disputes with the authority, the Enforcement Authority has also carried out seizures of the company's cash.

Debts and New Bankruptcy Threat

Fresh information from official registers shows that TP E-commerce Nordic AB has a registered debt balance with the Enforcement Authority in general cases of approximately 1.8 million Swedish krona, mainly related to unpaid taxes.

In addition, there are ongoing applications for payment orders from external creditors.
