"Tried to find people in her team".

For newly started e-commerce businesses, the marketing budget is often tight, but the Eskilstuna company Cambottle found another way. Through perseverance, a specially designed product and AI in the sales pitch, the 25-year-old founder Hermann Diabate managed to get artist Zara Larsson to showcase the company’s water bottle to her 12.6 million followers on Instagram. This is reported by Ekuriren.

The e-commerce business launched last year and sells a water bottle designed to also function as a mobile phone stand.

Instead of purchasing traditional advertisements to market the product, the working group decided in the spring to focus on a specific celebrity. The choice fell on Zara Larsson.

Hermann Diabate created nine different sketches before he felt that the design, inspired by the artist's music, was complete. Afterwards began the resource-intensive work of trying to reach the artist’s network.

We were actually trying to find people in her team that we could email, so I finally sent an email to her stylist, says Hermann Diabate.

Creativity when dialogue stalled

To stand out in the stylist's inbox, the e-commerce business collected images from the artist's own channels. Using AI, the images were then edited to replace existing water bottles with Cambottle’s design.

Despite the creative effort, the stylist stopped responding, but the company did not give up and instead continued to look for new contact paths.

The focus shifted to the Way out West music festival. A new contact within the artist's circle was established and the company received instructions to deliver the bottle to Gothenburg. The strategy bore fruit and shortly thereafter, the bottle appeared in a slideshow on the star’s Instagram account.

I received an email a few days later saying that Zara loves the bottle, then the same day the post went live, says Hermann Diabate.

Fresh company in startup phase

Company information shows that Cambottle AB was initially registered as a shelf company at the end of 2024, and the current board took over the business at the end of March 2025.

The share capital amounts to 25,000 Swedish krona. As the company is newly started, there is currently no registered annual report.
