Aiming for a billion.

The Norwegian e-commerce retailer Villoid was named Business of the Year at the Elle Gala in Oslo last night. The award comes shortly after the company exceeded half a billion in turnover and entered the Swedish market.

On Wednesday evening, the annual Elle Gala was held at Theatercafeen in Oslo. Among the evening's winners was the Norwegian fashion e-commerce retailer Villoid, which was awarded the Business of the Year award. The prize was presented by TV personality Else Kåss Furuseth and accepted by the company's co-founder and CEO, Jeanette Dyhre Kvisvik.

The jury's justification for the award highlighted how Villoid has combined fashion understanding, technology and business acumen to build a digital fashion universe with strong and profitable growth, making the company a local challenger to the major international fashion giants.

From fashion app to award-winning e-commerce

For Jeanette Dyhre Kvisvik, the award ceremony marked the completion of a circle. The business has its roots in a Telenor-backed social fashion app, but in 2018, Jeanette Dyhre Kvisvik and co-founder Jarle Snertingdalen bought out the company and transformed it into a pure e-commerce store. The launch of the new e-commerce concept took place in connection with the Elle party eight years ago.

I launched Villoid at the Elle party eight years ago. Back then, we were completely new, unknown faces who almost had to fight our way to a place at the door. To stand here today and receive the award for Business of the Year feels surreal, said Jeanette Dyhre Kvisvik in her acceptance speech last night.

During the speech, she also expressed special thanks to the Norwegian female entrepreneurs and brand founders who were early adopters of the platform, including Pia Tjelta, Camilla Pihl, Susanne Holzweiler and Jenny Skavlan. Today, the platform brings together around 250 brands and has built a customer base and community of over 500,000 women.

Aiming for a billion after Swedish launch

The award in Oslo comes after a period of clear financial success for the Norwegian e-commerce retailer. In 2025, Villoid increased its turnover by 54 percent to 518 million Norwegian kroner. The company has been profitable since 2023 and now aims to reach a billion Norwegian kroner in turnover by 2027.

An important part of the plan to reach the billion-kroner goal is geographical expansion outside the home market. Just a few weeks ago Villoid launched its e-commerce store in Sweden. In connection with the move across the border, Swedish e-commerce profile Fredrik Palm, former CEO of Desenio and board member of, among others, Caia Cosmetics, invested and became a strategic advisor. The goal for the Swedish business is to generate 100 million kroner in turnover already next year.
