Elin Sigrén’s e-commerce journey began in 2007 with a streamlined, Nordic expression in recycled porcelain and steel. Now, her company is choosing to accelerate through a strategic acquisition. Sigrén is acquiring Lotta Jewellery, founded by designer Lotta Andersson, thereby adding three decades of botanical craftsmanship to her portfolio.
After many years of friendship, creativity and a shared love for genuine craftsmanship, we want to share news that feels warm in our hearts. Lotta Jewellery and Sigrén are creating a new loving chapter together, writes Elin Sigrén in an update.
On October 9th, the doors will open to a new flagship store on Hamngatan, where both brands’ identities will be scaled up and operated under a common banner. On social media, Elin Sigrén writes:
I will continue to run Lotta Jewellery from October.
It feels very special to take over a store and a brand that has been part of Malmö for so long.
Cash Registers Ring in the Companies
Looking at the books, it is clear that both brands are entering the new joint venture with the wind in their sails, although they are in different reporting periods.
For Lotta Djossou Design AB, the company behind the acquired brand Lotta Jewellery, the latest available annual report, for 2024, showed a slight decrease in turnover. It landed just over 5 million Swedish krona. At the same time, the company made a strong turnaround on the bottom line, going from approximately minus 295,000 krona to a profit after financial items of just under 300,000 krona.
Elin Sigrén’s Sägen AB has already released its figures for 2025 and shows growing turnover by 8 percent, to just over 5.6 million krona. Here too, last year's red figures of approximately minus 34,500 krona turned into a net profit of around 120,000 krona.
The company also has a very well-filled cash register with just over 600,000 krona in pure liquid funds. In practice, this means that Sigrén has plenty of dry powder to finance the establishment of the new joint store.
Out Towards New Adventures
Behind Lotta Jewellery lies a craft heritage shaped by recycled precious metals, often with inspiration drawn from travels in over 70 countries. Ahead of the handover, the business has cleared the shelves through a sale, and for the founder, an unplanned chapter now awaits.
With a glass of champagne in her hand, Lotta Andersson summarizes the feelings on the website:
You created Lotta Jewellery, now the world is waiting for me with new adventures. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Eternally grateful & happy.
