The cosmetics chain Rituals is opening the doors to its two hundredth store in the Nordic region. With the latest establishment in Finnish Oulu, the company crosses a threshold in a market that has been with it since the beginning of the company's international expansion.

200 stores in the Nordic region is a milestone we are incredibly proud of. The Nordic countries have played an important role in our international growth journey, and Nordic consumers have embraced Rituals in a fantastic way over the years,” says Joakim Klingsell, CEO of Rituals in the Nordics.

The company established itself early in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. These countries formed the very first steps for the brand outside its home market in the Benelux.

Behind the continued establishment rate lies a change in what customers are demanding, with interest increasingly focused on relaxation at home. The company has therefore invested resources in adapting and updating its physical retail locations as well as its range to align with the new purchasing habits.

Nordic consumers have high expectations when it comes to quality, customer experience and authenticity. As wellbeing becomes an increasingly important part of our lives, we continue to develop and innovate both our range and our stores to meet these expectations. That commitment is a key driver behind the growth we have achieved in the Nordics,” says Joakim Klingsell.

More establishments to come

The opening in Oulu marks not the end of the chain's investments. Further investments in the Nordic market are planned for the future.

This involves new store openings, development of the customer experience and initiatives to broaden the accessibility of the brand's range.

Although we are proud of this milestone, our ambition is about more than just growth. We want to continue strengthening our role as a brand that helps people create meaningful moments in everyday life,” concludes Joakim Klingsell.
