The decision for Rickard Lyko to leave the board is based on adjustments to the Swedish Corporate Governance Code. The regulations recommend a clear separation between the board and executive management. Rickard Lyko will remain in his role as CEO of the company.
David von Laskowski is proposed as a new board member. He is currently CEO and Group CEO of Greenfood Group, which includes the Picadeli brand. He holds a doctorate in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and has previously held CEO positions at companies such as Candyking and Visma Retail.
The Nomination Committee highlights von Laskowski's background in tech, retail and international growth as central to the nomination:
The Nomination Committee is convinced that David's experience and proven ability to develop scalable, digitally driven and profitable business models, along with his experience in international expansion, will contribute positively to the board's work and support Lyko's continued development, the press release states.
In addition to the new election of David von Laskowski, the Nomination Committee proposes the re-election of Chairman Kenneth Bengtsson and the existing board members Erika Lyko, Håkan Håkansson, Marie Nygren and Isabelle Ducellier. Current board member Carl-Mikael Lindholm has declined re-election.
The notice for the annual general meeting, which will take place in Stockholm on May 19, also states that the board proposes that no dividend be paid for the past year and that the result be carried forward to the new account.

The board changes take place during a period when the e-commerce company is implementing a strategic shift in its marketing. As Ehandel.se recently reported, the company has begun to financially compensate its own staff for creating content for the company's app, in order to build its own social network and reduce dependence on external advertising.
