The outdoor and clothing company Revolutionrace has grown in several European markets in recent years. Previously, Ehandel.se reported on how Revolutionrace exceeded two billion Swedish kronor in turnover during its continued international expansion.

To meet the growing volumes, the e-commerce company recently conducted a comprehensive procurement process where several alternative logistics solutions were evaluated. The result of the review is that the company is extending its existing agreement with logistics partner Bring Shelfless, a collaboration that began in 2021.

Moving from Borås to Rosersberg

In connection with the extended agreement, Revolutionrace is implementing a geographical relocation of its logistics operations. The warehouse is therefore leaving Borås and moving into a new facility in Rosersberg north of Stockholm.

According to Carl-Johan Malm, Logistics Manager at Revolutionrace, the company's growth rate places special demands on how daily operations are managed. He says:

We are a demanding customer and we expect our logistics to be run with the same mindset as we have internally: high ceilings, quick decisions and a willingness to make sudden turns and unexpected changes. The fact that Bring Shelfless has been able to meet those expectations has been an important prerequisite for us to be able to grow at the rate we have.

Reduces Manual Handling

The new logistics facility in Rosersberg covers 18,000 square meters. To streamline flows, the Autostore warehouse system is combined with automated processes for both packing and labeling, which reduces the proportion of manual handling in the chain.

The actual warehouse move from Borås to Rosersberg has now been completed and is said to have occurred without impacting deliveries to end customers. According to Jonas Ahlgren, Nordic Director of Bring Shelfless, the increased degree of automation provides opportunities to handle larger volumes with maintained cost control as Revolutionrace continues its expansion in Europe.
