How merchants are affected.

The e-commerce platform Quickbutik today launches its own checkout solution called Quickbutik Checkout. The technology in the checkout is based on a payment infrastructure from the fintech company Adyen. The purpose of the launch is to gather payments, payouts, returns and accounting in one and the same system.

We are thus becoming the first Nordic e-commerce platform to go all the way with its own checkout, including payments, in a complete platform built for the demands merchants have today, says Azddin Benberkan, CEO and founder of Quickbutik.

The new checkout includes payment methods such as Swish, Klarna, Apple Pay and card payments, which can be activated without the e-commerce merchant needing to make separate applications to each provider. Regarding pricing, the company applies a model based on the customer's store plan.

Quickbutik Checkout uses open list prices that are available to everyone and vary with the price plan. On the Pro plan, direct payments are 1.55 percent plus 1.25 SEK per order, and list prices for all plans will be publicly available on our website, explains Azddin Benberkan.

For e-commerce merchants who have previously negotiated their own price agreements with specific payment providers, there is an opportunity to retain these terms, even if they switch to the new checkout solution.

If you have directly negotiated agreements with individual payment methods, such as Klarna or Swish, they may be able to be transferred over, we handle that individually, says Azddin Benberkan.

The solution is entirely voluntary to use, and Quickbutik does not plan to shut down the ability to integrate third-party checkouts. For stores that choose to switch to the new in-house checkout, the company states that the transition can be carried out without technical interruptions.

After an approved application, the switch can be done in minutes, basically with the push of a button. There is zero risk of downtime or lost sales, the transition is seamless as we can ensure that the transition from the existing checkout to the new one is done correctly at the platform level, says Azddin Benberkan.

The platform also emphasizes that the system is prepared for the AI commerce of the future. Currently, however, it is not possible for AI agents to make real purchases in the checkout.

Purchases via AI agents are, as far as we know, not live for any Nordic merchant, and therefore not in our checkout either. We are closely following the development of UCP and ACP protocols and are continuously updating our merchants. We will release it the day it arrives, concludes Azddin Benberkan.
