The company has over 5,200 employees in its offices in the capital, and the current reorganization involves a smaller part of this workforce. Håcan Andersson from the company's communications department confirms the developments and clarifies that the exact outcome of the job cuts has not yet been fully determined.
The layoffs affect just over 100 people in Stockholm, but it is still an ongoing process where we do not know the concrete outcome, so we currently have no further details to share, says Håcan Andersson to Nyhetsbyrån Direkt.
Closer to the Customer
The reason for the current personnel change is based on a strategy that the company has planned for some time. The work essentially involves reviewing how the company is structured and how quickly decisions can be made in daily operations. The aim is to adapt the structures to ultimately build a closer relationship with consumers.
The company has approximately 132,000 employees worldwide. When asked if similar measures are expected to take place in other international markets, it is stated that the direction is common to the entire group, but that the practical steps are adapted geographically.
The overall goal is the same for all markets – to simplify the organization and shorten decision-making paths. How we do it may differ between countries, depending on local needs and conditions, says Håcan Andersson and adds that the company cannot share more details at the moment.
