Many employees in the e-commerce sector possess specialist knowledge, but sometimes lack understanding of the companies' overall flows. To bridge this gap, the Kompetenslyftet program is now being launched. The initiative is aimed at e-commerce companies in southern Sweden and aims to give everyone from new employees to experienced specialists an insight into the entire value chain.
The program covers areas such as customer acquisition, logistics, business models and the technologies of the future.
It is only when you see the whole picture that you understand how everything fits together and why every part is important. Our goal is to give employees knowledge, inspiration and new tools that make them even more effective in their roles, says Felicia Johansson, Head of Operations at E-commerce Park of Scandinavia.
Building Your Own Technical Tools
Part of the program is carried out in collaboration with the company Lovable and focuses on "vibe coding". Participants will be able to test building their own technical tools adapted for different roles within the company.
We want to give participants increased understanding and knowledge of new technology by letting them test it themselves, build their own solutions and really see how it works in practice. This makes it both easier to learn and use in their daily work, says Sylvia Heuvelman, responsible for training at E-commerce Park.
Ten Free Places
The investment is planned to run for three years and has a total budget of almost three million kronor, part of which is financed by Tillväxtverket. During the first year, ten companies will have the opportunity to participate in the program free of charge.
The placement of the initiative in Helsingborg is based on the region's position within the industry. A report from last autumn showed that companies with links to the Helsingborg region generated a turnover of between 54 and 76 billion kronor during 2024, which accounts for almost half of total Swedish e-commerce.
E-commerce Park of Scandinavia operates, in addition to educational efforts, also the company incubator Future Retail Incubator, which recently started its tenth round. The incubator's previous participating companies today have a combined turnover of over 600 million kronor.
