Maxfps Aktiebolag, which operates the niche esports and gaming store MaxGaming.se, has presented its financial statements for the broken fiscal year running from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026. The company, which is part of the GLHF Holding group based in Upplands Väsby, has in recent years consolidated its position as one of the leading niche players among Sweden's 100 largest e-commerce companies.

The latest figures show that the growth journey continues. Net sales amounted to SEK 408.1 million, an increase of 10 percent compared to SEK 371.5 million the previous year. This means that the company is now exceeding the SEK 400 million mark for the first time, just two years after we reported that the esports store exceeded SEK 300 million.

Germany Drives Growth

The improvement on the bottom line is even more pronounced. Operating profit increased by 61 percent to SEK 20.5 million, up from SEK 12.7 million the previous year. On the final line, the company reports a net profit of SEK 13.3 million, compared to SEK 10.7 million the previous year. At the same time, equity strengthened from 49 to 53 percent.

However, growth is not uniform across all geographical markets. While North America has been challenging, Europe has compensated for the loss. In the management report, management describes the development as follows:

Despite macroeconomic challenges in the US resulting in reduced sales in that market, the company as a whole continues to grow. This is mainly driven by strong development in the Nordics and other parts of Europe, where the German establishment in particular continues to stand out.

Investing in Own Brands

A key to the significant profit improvement is own brands. In an industry characterized by tough margins, MaxGaming has chosen to develop its own products to secure profitability. The company writes in the report:

Competition and price pressure remain high in consumer electronics. To counteract this and strengthen the company's overall profitability, strategic investments have been made to increase the share of own-developed brands.

The investment in own production does not mean that the business is without challenges. As large parts of the manufacturing take place in Asia, the company points to the global supply chain as a clear risk area going forward. Management states in the financial statements:

A significant risk and uncertainty factor is the company's supply chain, as a large part of production is located in Asia. Potential trade conflicts and geopolitical tensions can affect the business both directly through tariffs, and indirectly through limited access to technical components.

New CEO at the Helm

During the final sprint of the past fiscal year, a change also occurred at the management level. On April 1, 2026, Olivier Tomassino took office as the new external CEO of the company. With a new CEO in place and a strengthened balance sheet, the e-commerce company is optimistic about the coming year. The board of directors and CEO summarize the situation in the financial statements:

The company assesses the future prospects as good, supported by a continued strong capital base and an attractive product range.
