Ylva Norlén, who has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since February 2024, has decided to move on to a new assignment starting in 2027. To ensure an orderly transition, she will remain in her current role for seven months until the year-end report is presented in February 2027. The company is immediately initiating the recruitment of a successor.

Ylva has contributed greatly to Lyko over the past two years, building a stable finance department and modernizing the system landscape. She is a valued colleague, and I am pleased that she will be with us for the next seven months while we begin the recruitment of a replacement,” says Rickard Lyko, CEO and founder.

Financial Development in the Second Quarter

In connection with the management change, the report for the second quarter of 2026 was presented. Revenue on a rolling twelve-month basis amounted to 4 billion SEK during the period.

Net sales in the second quarter landed just over 1 billion SEK, representing growth of 8.6 percent. Operating profit (EBIT) clocked in at 54 million SEK, which is the highest for a second quarter in the company's history.

It is encouraging to see evidence that the long-term investments we have made in recent years are beginning to deliver meaningful results,” says Rickard Lyko.

Progress for Own Brands

A driving factor in sales is the company's own brands, which generated 88 million SEK in revenue during the quarter. This corresponds to growth of 23.4 percent for the segment. Physical expansion also continued with two new stores, in Kalmar and Charlottenberg, bringing the company's total number of stores to 36.

Internally, the quarter was marked by the company's cost-saving program. The program is expected to generate total savings of 100 million SEK.

With this chapter now largely behind us, we are entering the second half of the year with a leaner organization, a stronger operational platform, and our full focus once again on growth and innovation,” states Rickard Lyko.
