Kjell Group Increases Revenue in Q2 2026 – E-commerce and Inventory Availability Drive Growth

Sandra Gadd, CEO of Kjell
"A stronger company".

Kjell Group has turned the tide. During the second quarter of the year, the electronics chain switched to growth, driven by a strong e-commerce business and better inventory availability. But the road ahead requires more work to achieve the long-term goals.

During the second quarter of the year, the company reported revenue of SEK 574.3 million. This represents an increase of 8.4 percent compared to the same period last year, when sales amounted to SEK 529.7 million. At the same time, operating profit landed at SEK -5.7 million, which is an improvement of 60.5 percent compared to the previous year's loss of SEK -14.5 million.

The positive development is visible in both the Swedish and Norwegian markets. The Danish subsidiary, AV-Cables, which has been struggling for some time, also showed growth during June.

Looking at the first six months as a whole, however, revenue amounted to SEK 1.06 billion, a decrease of 2.7 percent compared to last year's SEK 1.09 billion. Operating profit for the first six months of the year totaled SEK -30.4 million, a deterioration of 16 percent compared to last year's SEK -26.2 million.

This quarter looks different. With growth and improved profitability, I can once again say that we are in a better position than before, but this time with greater confidence in my words, says CEO Sandra Gadd.

Focus on Inventory and Promotions

One explanation for the improved quarter lies in the internal structures. Kjell Group has gotten its inventory availability in order, which is immediately noticeable in the sales figures. At the same time, the company has carried out a more strategic approach to its pricing and promotions.

Despite the progress, the company's CEO is clear that there are still challenges to be solved, not least when it comes to internal expenses and how quickly changes can be implemented within the organization.

The quarter is still burdened by costs that I think are too high, says CEO Sandra Gadd and continues:

Partly because our execution capability is not yet where we want it to be. Partly because change takes time. It's frustrating sometimes, but also a natural part of the journey we are on.

System Changes Ahead

Going forward, the work is about more than just solving acute problems. During the autumn, Kjell Group will enter an intensive phase to prepare for an upgrade of its business system. The first part of this implementation is planned for the first half of 2027.

The internal focus is now gradually shifting towards how the business can work more efficiently and make faster decisions for the future.

The long-term goal is to build a stronger company, says Sandra Gadd.

A company that creates value. Customer value and shareholder value. A company that our employees are proud of.
