Expanding the warehouse after sales success.

As consumers tighten their purse strings, home improvement chain Jula is going against the grain. During the first five months of the year, the company has seen an influx of new customers, resulting in sales increasing by over 500 million SEK compared to last year. Now the company is preparing for the warmest and most active months of the year.

The start of the year has shown that the chain's focus on products for home and garden attracts visitors.

Despite a continued uncertain world, we are seeing a clear increase in customer traffic. We are well prepared for the summer high season, says Johan Sjöhagra, CEO of Jula.

Membership Club Acts as an Engine

According to the company, the driving force behind the growing volumes is the customer club, which now exceeds 5 million members.

We are seeing continued strong interest from our customers. Our focus on the right assortment at the right price means that we remain strong even in a more challenging market. It is clear that we offer a broad and affordable range that is perceived as particularly relevant in the current economic situation, says Johan Sjöhagra.

Expanding the Warehouse in Skara

To handle the increased volumes and the planned establishment of around 20 new department stores annually, the company is now also growing its logistics. The current distribution center in Skara will be expanded by 46,000 square meters.

When the expansion is complete, the total warehouse area will measure over 225,000 square meters.

Summer is our most important sales period and we are entering it with great confidence. We hope to continue the positive development despite an uncertain world, says Johan Sjöhagra.
