In early 2025, Hööks Hästsport completed a relocation of its entire warehousing operations from Borås to Skara. The purpose was to secure logistics for future growth and benefit from economies of scale within the group.
During the same year, the company's new customer club, Club Hööks, was launched to strong reception. As previously reported, the initiative attracted 85,000 new members during the year.
These investments have had an impact on sales. In 2025, the company's turnover increased to SEK 538 million. This represents an increase of 13 percent compared to 2024, when turnover amounted to SEK 475 million.
Operating profit declines
But despite the upward trend in revenue, the company continues to operate at a loss.
Operating profit for 2025 fell to minus SEK 68.6 million. This is a deterioration of 13 percent from the previous year, when the corresponding figure was minus SEK 60.7 million.
However, thanks to a group contribution of SEK 70 million from the parent company, the company's annual result could be turned into a profit of SEK 21.1 million.
New systems caused disruptions
To manage future expansion, work to replace the company's business system has been ongoing throughout the year.
The system went live in January 2026, but the transition was not entirely smooth. The initial phase led to operational disruptions that affected both daily operations and sales. The company states that measures were quickly taken to resolve the problems, and work to optimize the new system has continued on an ongoing basis.
Despite these technical hurdles, the company is optimistic about the future.
Through modernized logistics, a new business system, a strengthened range and a growing customer base, Hööks is well equipped for 2026 with a focus on growth, results and more efficient working methods, write CEO Kajsa Claesson and the board in the annual report.
With hopes that consumer purchasing power will strengthen thanks to lower inflation, the company expects the equestrian industry to receive a boost after a prolonged period of cost pressure.
Already during the first quarter of 2026, new openings are planned in the form of a store in Norwegian Tønsberg and a new unit in Katrineholm.
