Net sales for Hatstore World AB reached SEK 408.6 million in 2025, an increase from SEK 385.9 million the previous year. At the same time, the company's operating margin decreased from just over 4 percent to under 2 percent. The annual result is reported at SEK 4.1 million, compared to SEK 8.9 million in 2024. The company explains in its annual report that sales in the US market have decreased due to new trade barriers.

As a result of the introduction of tariffs on exports to the USA, sales in this market have decreased significantly during the year. However, the tariffs have not had a material impact on the company's overall financial position, the company writes.

New subsidiary and move to new premises

To manage business in North America, the annual report states that Hatstore has decided to establish a subsidiary in the USA during the coming financial year (2026). During the past year, the company has also moved into newly built premises in Kalmar. The investment was made to create conditions for further expansion and to develop the work environment and employee well-being. Growth has occurred despite general economic uncertainty.

Hatstore World AB has increased turnover compared to the previous year in 2025, despite a challenging market situation characterized by continued cautious consumer behavior, subdued purchasing power and a turbulent world, the company states.

Physical expansion realized

In addition to e-commerce and the new US initiative, the company has made progress with its physical expansion strategy. According to the annual report, the goal was to open stores in Gothenburg and Hamburg in 2026. These plans have now been realized. The company has thus expanded its store network to include Drottninggatan in Gothenburg and Europa Passage in Hamburg, in addition to the existing store in Stockholm and an outlet in Kalmar. The physical entry into the Swedish west coast has previously been welcomed by property owners in the area.

They complement the actors that already exist in the block and strengthen the range of creative brands in a great way, said Kristina Pettersson Post, Head of Vasakronan Gothenburg, in connection with the original announcement of the Gothenburg store.
