At seven o'clock in the morning, the doors opened to the newly renovated Power department store in Tuna Park. Customers had gathered early outside the entrance waiting to get in. Already during the first sixty minutes, a new sales record was set for the electronics chain.

Sausages, coffee and buns were served to morning visitors in the queue outside the store. When the department store finally opened, customers quickly focused on specific product categories.

Visitors prioritized purchases of large TV sets, iPhones, robot vacuum cleaners and washing machines. The number of goods delivered from the warehouse was the highest the company has recorded during the initial hour of a store opening.

Million-Dollar Sales Immediately

During this first hour, sales totaled over 1.6 million Swedish krona. Activity at the cash registers continued thereafter, and a short time later the total sum exceeded 3 million krona.

We have really gotten off to a flying start to the day. And all our expectations have clearly been exceeded, we look forward to the rest of the day, says store manager Daniel Falk.

The event at the department store is planned to continue throughout the rest of the weekend.
