Franchise trio opens new store.

On October 9, 2026, Elgiganten will expand its network by opening its 76th franchise-owned department store. The new establishment is located at Älmhults Handelsplats, adjacent to players such as Ikea and Lager 157. The franchisees Behar Popova, Johan Henriksson and Linus Wulff, who already operate Elgiganten Phonehouse stores in Ängelholm, Höör and Höganäs, are responsible for the business.

The department store covers an area of 1,167 square meters and is being built according to the company's latest store concept. In addition to the standard range, three new departments are being introduced for gaming, Epoq kitchens and corporate sales.

Per Handell, Franchise Manager at Elgiganten, comments on the opening:

Our franchisees are a very important part of our business, where we can work together to offer customers more, be even more accessible and continue to grow.

The investment in a specific B2B department in the department store reflects the company's latest developments in corporate sales. During the 2025/2026 financial year, Elgiganten Företag reported a revenue increase of 18 percent, while e-commerce aimed at B2B customers grew by 32 percent. The number of new corporate customers increased by 40 percent during the same period.

Sarkan Rahim, Head of B2B at Elgiganten, previously described the strategy behind the company's growth:

By offering the same high accessibility in our department stores as online, we have found a model that the market demands.
