Poster company Desenio Group announced on Friday that changes are again taking place in the top management. The acting CFO Carl Caap left his position with immediate effect at the end of last week. According to a press release from the company, he chose to step down to pursue other commitments outside the group.

To ensure continuity in the finance function, the e-commerce retailer is bringing in an internal replacement directly. Eva Skoghagen, who currently works as Group Business Controller at Desenio, will take over the role of interim CFO with immediate effect. At the same time, the board of directors announces that the recruitment process to find a permanent CFO will begin immediately.

A turbulent year behind them

The announcement comes almost exactly one year after Carl Caap joined the company. It was on October 20, 2025 that he took over as interim CFO, after the then CFO Johan Roslund resigned in the middle of the company's heavy reconstruction phase. Caap most recently came from previous CFO roles at prominent companies such as PS of Sweden and Tiger of Sweden.

The change in the CFO position is just one in a series of changes in Desenio's top management recently. In May last year, Erik Flinck stepped in as acting CEO, a role that then became permanent in November 2025 with the clear goal of turning things around after a long period of financial pressure.

Heavy losses and restructuring

The new CFO takes over the baton in a company that has struggled hard to get its finances in order. All of 2025 was characterized by extensive restructuring and financial cleanup, culminating in a heavy annual report. The financial statements showed that Desenio declined by just over a quarter of a billion Swedish krona, with the net loss landing at 278 million krona. The result was then heavily burdened by a goodwill impairment of 250 million krona and newly discovered historical errors in the company's revenue recognition.

During 2026, Desenio has continued to face headwinds in the form of declining sales in a challenging market. At the same time, the implemented savings packages and restructuring have begun to have some effect, which has helped the e-commerce retailer to dampen the rate of loss during the current year.
