The Swedish beauty brand Caia Cosmetics, owned by Beauty Icons AB and co-founded by Bianca Ingrosso among others, is now expanding its presence in the British market. Between December 4th and 6th, the company will open a temporary pop-up store at 15 Bateman Street in the Soho district of London. This establishment marks the first time the e-commerce retailer will meet its British customers in its own physical store environment.

The concept for the three-day establishment has a clear Christmas theme, combining Scandinavian aesthetics with influences from the British countryside. Visitors will be able to test and purchase the company's existing range, product news, and special Christmas boxes. Caia’s Global Lead Makeup Artist, Carolina Benita, will also be on site to offer personal advice to customers.

Building on Local Warehousing

The physical activation in London follows the company strengthening its infrastructure in the country this year. Caia has previously sold its products through a dedicated British e-commerce site, and at the beginning of the year, the company took an important logistical step in the market.

To shorten lead times and manage customs processes more efficiently Caia opened its very first foreign warehouse in Great Britain in February. The local warehousing made it possible for the e-commerce retailer to offer next-day delivery to its British customers, which is now being followed up with a physical brand experience in the middle of the Christmas shopping season.

Physical Expansion in the Nordics

Combining the digital core business with physical store concepts has become an increasingly clear part of Caia Cosmetics' growth strategy outside of Sweden. During the past year, the company has rolled out several permanent stores in the Nordic neighboring countries to drive brand awareness and local sales.

The focus on own stores outside the home market gained momentum in Norway, where the company established flagship stores in both Oslo and Bergen. Since then, the concept has been extended to Denmark through a 230 square meter store on Købmagergade street in Copenhagen. With the upcoming pop-up store in London, the company is now testing the physical format even outside the Nordics, albeit in a temporary form during a weekend in December.
