Cross-border online retail between Sweden and Norway continues to grow. According to recent figures from logistics operator Bring, the flow of packages from Sweden into Norway has increased significantly since the years surrounding the pandemic. Compared to 2020, this represents a volume increase equivalent to between 10 and 15 extra trucks crossing the border each day.

To manage the growing influx, Bring is now opening a new package terminal in Norwegian Moss, located next to the E6 highway between Oslo and the Swedish border. The facility will be the logistics company's largest in terms of capacity.

Relieves Oslo Ahead of Peak Season

The new terminal in Moss covers just over 30,000 square meters and is equipped with a kilometer-long sorting belt. The facility’s primary task will be to receive packages transported by land from Sweden, thereby relieving the heavily strained terminal in Oslo.

In addition to the purely physical sorting capacity, the terminal has been equipped with 10,000 square meters of solar cells on the roof and charging infrastructure for heavy electric truck traffic for onward transport into Norway. Hanna Jonasson, Director of Operations for Bring in Sweden, notes that the expansion is necessary for the Swedish market.

Norway is an important market for many Swedish e-commerce companies, and package flows across the border have grown significantly. With the new terminal, we gain significantly more capacity on the Norwegian side and better conditions to handle increasing volumes between Sweden and Norway.

Strong Volume Growth in Sweden

The investment on the Norwegian side of the border comes in the wake of a rapid volume increase within the Swedish operations. Bring’s package volumes in Sweden increased by 73 percent during the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year, which was the strongest percentage increase in the entire group.

The increased demand has also led to infrastructure projects on home ground. The company began construction of a new terminal in northern Stockholm during late summer. That facility is expected to be completed in 2027 and will then triple the sorting capacity in the capital region.
