After noting a sales increase of 47 percent in Germany last year, Caia Cosmetics is now taking the next step in the European market. Through a new collaboration with retail chain Douglas, the beauty player is moving from solely selling digitally in the DACH region to also having a presence in physical stores in eight European cities.

The e-commerce brand has established its operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland over the past few years. Now, the strategy is being expanded with a physical dimension.

Today, the company is launching at the beauty chain Douglas. The products will be sold through the retailer's digital channels as well as in selected stores in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna and Geneva.

"Initiating a collaboration with Douglas is a milestone for Caia and reflects the next step in our international growth. Douglas is a strategic partner for us as we now expand our physical presence and make the brand accessible to more customers in Europe," says Johanna Eriksson Hamrén, CEO of Caia Cosmetics.

Complements the Nordic Store Network

The establishment is being done together with Douglas, which currently operates around 1,960 stores in Europe, combined with sales via e-commerce and apps.

For Caia Cosmetics, which already operates its own permanent stores in Sweden and Norway, the new collaboration is a way to create physical meeting places for customers outside of the Nordics.

The plan ahead is based on continued establishment in the international market.
