When the books closed for 2025, the figures showed a year of growth. Sales increased by almost 20 percent and turnover reached SEK 163 million. Profitability also followed in the upturn. Operating profit landed at SEK 16.5 million, representing an increase of over 530 percent.
The company's CEO Karin Lundwall explains that these are the highest levels since the company was founded. She describes how the internal change work, which has been ongoing for several years, is now starting to yield results in the form of a growing business:
This is the company’s best turnover ever, which is of course fun and pleasing. Given everything we have done internally, it is nice to see that it has had an effect, says Karin Lundwall to the website.
Physical Expansion and New E-commerce
One explanation for the rising figures is the establishment of the store in Linköping, which received its first customers in February last year. The existing stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö also report higher sales.
To manage the volumes, the company, which has 74 employees, has reorganized its supply chain. By directing purchases to a new central warehouse, space is freed up in the stores, while ensuring that the shelves are filled during the year's most intensive sales periods. As part of this, the Malmö store is moving to a new premises of almost 500 square meters in the same property during the autumn, to make room for more goods within science fiction, fantasy and horror.
In parallel with the physical expansion, work is underway on the company's digital presence. A completely new platform for the company’s e-commerce and an updated website are on the agenda and planned to be rolled out during the current year.
Systems That Simplify Everyday Life
To support growth, the company is also carrying out technical updates behind the scenes. The work focuses on making daily operations smoother for staff and creating a better basis for future decisions.
We are improving and simplifying our business system so that we can work a little easier and smarter and make well-thought-out and strategic IT decisions, says Karin Lundwall.
