Reclaimit assists e-commerce businesses with their post-purchase flows and currently has over 400 e-commerce businesses and suppliers connected to its platform. The company announced today that Daniel Bernholc has been recruited as its new Chief Technology Officer. He assumed his new role on Monday, November 2nd.

Daniel Bernholc most recently served as the founder and CEO of the AI company Magnowlia. Prior to that, he was, among other things, Head of Technology at the payment company iZettle, where he built up the technology organization from zero to 50 developers and helped scale the platform across three continents. His resume also includes a role as CTO at the legal service Lexly, focusing on cloud-based microservice architecture, as well as work with high-capacity systems for 10,000 transactions per second at Tradedoubler.

To Develop Autonomous Flows

At Reclaimit, the new CTO will be primarily responsible for driving the company's technical shift towards autonomous AI agents. The goal is for the system to not only assist customer service and logistics personnel, but to independently manage the entire process from start to finish. This includes decision-making, follow-up and measurement in both returns, complaints and repairs.

We have already demonstrated that we can build AI and automation into the product. The next step is to let the agents take care of the flow from beginning to end, so that our customers' teams can focus on what requires human judgment. Daniel has both built platforms that can handle really large volumes and taken AI all the way to product. That is exactly the combination we need, says Wilhelm Hamilton, CEO of Reclaimit, in a statement.

For Daniel Bernholc, it was the combination of high transaction volumes and clear business needs within e-commerce logistics that decided the choice of new employer.

What attracted me to Reclaimit is the opportunity to apply AI to an area where it can really make a difference. It's about large volumes, clear processes and real business problems. Being able to build the next generation of AI-powered post-purchase flows on a platform already used by over 400 merchants and suppliers is a very exciting opportunity, says Daniel Bernholc.

Focus on Customer Loyalty and Circular Models

The investment in increased automation comes at a time when the management of post-purchase flows has played an increasingly central role in the profitability of e-commerce businesses. Reclaimit previously this autumn presented a Novus survey highlighting how sensitive consumers are to friction during returns and complaints, where a single misstep in handling can cause a large majority of customers to abandon a store.

In addition to pure return management, the company has also focused this year on how technology can support more circular business models. As EU requirements regarding the right to repair are tightened, Reclaimit has highlighted that there is a clear business opportunity for merchants who can offer smooth repair flows, an area that has traditionally required a lot of manual processing.
