The online pharmacy Apohem, owned by Axfood and Axel Johnson-owned Novax, is making changes in the boardroom. The company announces that e-commerce profile Bank Bergström has been elected as the new chairman of the board.

Since 2017, Bank Bergström has been CEO of Nordic Nest Group, which includes the brands Nordic Nest, Svenssons and KitchenTime, as well as Head of Premium Living at BHG Group. He also sits on the boards of Voyado and Skyltmax.

I have been following Apohem's impressive journey with strong growth in a competitive category for a long time. Building a pharmacy that customers actually return to is more difficult than it looks, and Apohem has succeeded in that. The next step is to make growth sustainably profitable – and that is exactly the journey we have taken at Nordic Nest Group for almost ten years. That is where I hope to be able to contribute the most, together with Therese and the board, says Bank Bergström.

"Impressive Background"

The change in the chairman's position takes place in a phase where the online pharmacy recently reached several milestones. Earlier this year, Ehandel.se reported that the online pharmacy broke the billion-dollar revenue mark for the full year 2025. In September, Therese Kempe also took office as the new CEO of the business.

Bank Bergström takes over the chairman's gavel from Jonas Hedman, who is CEO of the parent company Novax.

Bank has an impressive background in e-commerce, not least through the journey he has made with Nordic Nest. With his strong customer focus and experience in driving profitable growth, he will be able to contribute valuable perspectives and experiences to Apohem's continued development, says Jonas Hedman, CEO of Novax and outgoing chairman.

In addition to the new recruitment of a chairman, the board is also strengthened with Lisa Wigert, Strategy and Business Development Director at Axfood, who joins as a new member. Jonas Hedman leaves the chairman's position but continues as an ordinary member of Apohem's board.
