According to the company, economic development is based on three main initiatives. These include an updated range, increased accessibility, and streamlined operations and cost control. Sales growth is evenly distributed between the company's physical and digital channels. During the period, new stores have been established in Malmö and Örnsköldsvik, and a new web warehouse was launched to handle deliveries to collection points.
We can summarize a year with strong growth and good profitability. It is a confirmation that we have focused on the right things and on the work done by all employees throughout the organization, says Mio's CEO Björn Lindblad.
E-commerce exceeds the average
The start of the new fiscal year shows continued sales increases for the company. During the first quarter, total sales increased by 20 percent, and sales on the company's website increased by 40 percent during the months of April to June. According to the industry measurement E-barometern, growth for e-commerce within the furniture and interior design segment generally stood at 4 percent during the corresponding period.
We are now reaping the benefits of long-term investments in our omnichannel strategy. Customers should be able to meet Mio where it suits them, in store, online or a combination of both, and the figures show that we are succeeding, comments Björn Lindblad.
Dividend to personnel
The company recently completed its first year as a fully integrated company. As Ehandel.se previously reported, the company's financial results led to a profit-sharing scheme where 57 million SEK was allocated to be distributed to employees before the summer.
We have exceeded the budget for visitors, sales and profitability. It is our employees who have made it possible, said Björn Lindblad in connection with the profit distribution.
