The gadget chain is making a major investment.

Clas Ohlson's physical growth journey continues, and now the billion-kronor machine is flooring the gas pedal in the neighboring country. On Saturday, the chain will cut the ribbon on a thousand square meter store area in Joensuu, marking the company's fortieth store in the Finnish market.

The historic company from Insjön, which today employs over 5,000 people, is not content with e-commerce success. The sales venue in the Raatekangas commercial area is located approximately four kilometers outside the city center and will open its doors at nine o'clock on Saturday, September 26th.

It feels fantastic to be back in Joensuu. I look forward to opening the doors for customers in Joensuu, says Victor Esteka, who assumed the position of Sales and Operations Manager for Finland in September.

Breaking the Barrier in the East

The group is certainly not slowing down. As early as April, the doors opened in Lielahti in Tampere, and next in line in October is the Veska shopping center in Pirkkala.

The entire Clas Ohlson Group now generates a staggering 13 billion Swedish krona annually. The increased revenue stream builds a financial foundation that allows the company to invest aggressively in new strongholds on the map.

We have a strong base in Finland to build the next phase of growth on. We want to grow long-term and be where our customers are. This year's three new stores are a good example of how we see great opportunities in Finland going forward, explains Victor Esteka further.

Alongside the rollout in Finland, the company is also redrawing the map in Norway. During the packed growth journey, Alti Amanda in Haugesund is expected to receive a new store addition in October 2026, and in March 2027, the chain will make its debut in Oppdal.
