E-commerce retailer Fun Garage (formerly Superbilligt) declared bankrupt

An attempt at a turnaround was not enough.

According to information from Carup.se, the e-commerce company Brantech Imp AB, the company behind the website Fun Garage (formerly Superbilligt), has been declared bankrupt. The decision was made by Uppsala District Court on Wednesday after the company itself chose to apply for bankruptcy. The e-commerce retailer has been an actor in the sale of, among other things, all-terrain vehicles, mopeds and garden machinery for many years.

Earlier this year we reported on Ehandel.se that the company closed its physical store in Västerås to fully transition to digital sales in the Swedish and Finnish markets. The goal of the closure was to streamline operations and manage financial challenges. During the most recently reported fiscal year 2024/2025, revenue did increase to nearly 42 million Swedish krona, but at the same time, the business declined by nearly seven million krona after financial items. Solidity decreased sharply, and the decision to become a pure e-commerce retailer was ultimately not enough to save the company.

Website now closed

Immediately following the bankruptcy decision, it was reported that the online store remained open for new orders of expensive vehicles. Now, however, the company's digital store has been paused. Customers visiting the e-commerce site are instead met with a message that the store is temporarily down.

We will be back soon. We are currently updating our store and will be back very soon. Thank you for your patience, it reads on the website's homepage.

The company was founded in 2005 and employed nine people at the time of bankruptcy. Attorney Carlos Costa has now been appointed as bankruptcy trustee to manage the company's assets and the liquidation of the business.
