Deliveries are sharpened.

Freight company Airmee announced today that it has opened its sixth terminal in Sweden. The new facility in Örebro covers 2,700 square meters and was put into operation on September 11. The establishment is part of the company's infrastructure expansion ahead of the upcoming peak season for e-commerce and aims to increase capacity for same-day deliveries in central Sweden.

The terminal in Örebro will handle sorting of shipments to Karlstad, Örebro, Eskilstuna, Linköping and Norrköping. According to Airmee, the geographical location creates more efficient transport flows between Stockholm and central Sweden. At full capacity, the facility is estimated to be able to handle between 15,000 and 20,000 packages per day. In practice, this means that an additional approximately 900,000 people will have access to the company's Same Day delivery service.

For connected e-commerce businesses, the establishment means they can offer faster delivery options to consumers in the relevant locations, as well as later pickups during the day.

It is an important step to strengthen our customer offering and expand the reach of Same Day, while creating conditions for later and more efficient pickups with our trading partners," says Buster Odlander, Head of Sites at Airmee.

"The most intense period of the year"

The opening in Örebro is part of a more extensive investment in the company's network during 2026. During the second half of this year, Airmee will move into over 11,000 square meters of new and upgraded terminal space, distributed across facilities in Kallhäll, Malmö and Örebro. The purpose is to improve sorting flows and ensure a consistent service level at higher volumes.

Örebro is a strategically important establishment for Airmee. The new terminal strengthens both the capacity and reach of our network and gives our customers better opportunities to offer fast and predictable deliveries to more consumers. At the same time, we are building a more robust network ahead of the year's most volume-intensive period," says Elin Morales Härén, CEO of Airmee.

Investments in infrastructure are being made in the wake of a growth period for the company. During the first half of 2026, Airmee's delivery volumes increased by 54 percent compared to the same period last year, driven by both existing and new e-commerce businesses. In addition to home deliveries, the company has recently expanded its delivery options. Earlier this summer, the Airmee Ombud service was launched, where the company integrated a hundred Ica stores with its existing network of parcel boxes to offer consumers more delivery locations.
