The store quickly filled with customers after the doors opened.
Of the total sales of 7 million Swedish krona, TV sets accounted for 2 million Swedish krona. Products such as soundbars and robot vacuum cleaners were also purchased by many customers during the day. The store manager on site was pleased with the customers' interest.
It has been an incredibly fun day and fantastic to see this reception from the people of Luleå. We noticed early in the morning that it would be a really good opening day, but the pressure that has been during the day has exceeded our expectations. It really feels like we have gotten off to a flying start, says Joakim From, store manager at Power in Luleå.
Part of a national initiative
The renovated store, which the company previously announced cost 5 million Swedish krona to renovate, is part of the company's plan for Sweden. The chain will open thirty new units over the next five years and has recently signed agreements for department stores in Trollhättan and Piteå.
The company's CEO was also on site in Luleå this morning to attend the reopening.
There is nothing better than welcoming customers to a new store, says Magnus Kreuger, CEO of Power.
