Gustav Hasselgren comes most recently from the online pharmacy Apohem, where he has been CEO since its launch in 2019. During his tenure, the company has grown to a turnover of over SEK 1.1 billion and approximately 250 employees. He has a total of 20 years of experience in consumer products and retail, including a decade in e-commerce. Previous assignments include the CEO role for Health and Sports Nutrition Group as well as leading positions within Procter & Gamble, most recently as Country Manager for Sweden and Finland. He was also Chairman of the Board of the brand Frank Dandy until it was acquired by Online Brands Nordic.
Chairman of the Board David Rönnberg points to the new CEO's background in consumer products and fast-growing companies.
With Online Brands where it is today with a strong portfolio, recently released goals to reach SEK 1 billion with 10% EBITDA in 2027, continuing to acquire companies and extract synergies within the group, Gustav is a perfect CEO to take Online Brands to the next level, says David Rönnberg.
The incoming CEO also focuses on the group's continued expansion.
Online Brands has strong and ambitious owners, a stated acquisition agenda and a foundation of well-functioning and profitable companies. I look forward to getting to know the team, supporting the businesses and finding the right companies to bring into the group, says Gustav Hasselgren.
The leadership change takes place during an active period for the e-commerce group. In addition to the change in the CEO position, where current CEO Magnus Skoglund will remain during a transition period to ensure an orderly handover, the company recently announced that logistics operations will be consolidated in a new facility of just over 24,000 square meters in Falkenberg.
