The sports chain Stadium is making several strategic recruitments to adapt the organization to a changing retail market. A strong focus is on the digital business, where the company has now brought in Jenny Zeng as its new Head of Online.

Jenny Zeng assumed her new position at Stadium in August of this year. She most recently comes from Åhléns, where since 2022 she worked as Head of E-commerce and Online Director with responsibility for the omnichannel strategy. During her time at the department store chain, she was a key driver in the work to switch e-commerce platforms to a new headless solution. Her background also includes leading commercial roles within Komplett Group and Webhallen, as well as involvement as an angel investor in the RadCap network.

The addition of a new online manager is part of a larger internal initiative that the sports chain calls Stadium Future. The project aims to prepare the company for future development and maintain its position in the Nordic market. In connection with this, six other key individuals also assume leading positions.

Further strengthens the organization

Martina Wernemar joins as Chief Product Officer and Emelie Gruvnäs takes up the position of new Head of Business Control. Furthermore, the company has recruited Emelie Waldenborg as Customer Insight and Development Manager, Malin Glovéus as Head of Business Development, Håkan Eriksson as Head of Assortment for Outdoor and Junior Apparel, and Jessica Rosenquist as Design Lead. The new group of leaders is expected to work overall to develop the company's business development and customer experience.

Stadium's CEO Karl Eklöf comments on the new recruitments and emphasizes the importance of bringing in new knowledge at a time when customer expectations are changing.

By strengthening our organization with new external expertise and new perspectives, we create even better conditions to develop our business, improve the customer experience and continue to grow sustainably," says Karl Eklöf.

Stadium had a turnover of approximately SEK 7.3 billion excluding VAT during the broken financial year 2024/2025. The group is owned by the Eklöf family, currently has nearly 4,000 employees and operates around 200 stores in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
