During the summer, the company launched its digital presence in new markets outside of Sweden’s borders. Now, during the autumn, the focus is on adapting the range for each respective country.
Our digital expansion is an important part of Designtorget’s continued growth and international expansion. Through local websites in the Nordic countries and in selected European markets, we are now making our unique range of Scandinavian design accessible to a completely new customer base. Our ambition is clear – we will continue to scale Designtorget internationally and establish ourselves as a natural destination for Scandinavian design in Europe, says Johanna Ohlsson, responsible for the company’s digital growth.
New address in central Uppsala
While the online stores are being rolled out abroad, the interior design chain is investing in its physical store network at home. On August 29th at 10:00 a.m., the doors will open to a 160 square meter location.
The store is located on the corner of Kungsängsgatan and Bredgränd, and the inauguration will be marked by activities that highlight both new and established designers.
For us at Designtorget, the mix between digital and physical retail is enormously important. Therefore, both our online initiative outside of Sweden feels very exciting, and also that we have had the opportunity to return to Uppsala City. We look forward to opening in Uppsala, an opening made possible through good cooperation with Atrium Ljungberg, says Emma Klintbo Klingspor, CEO of Designtorget.
