The new CFO comes most recently from a role as financial manager at Kappahl. Before that, she has gained experience from several positions within H&M, including as brand controller for Monki.
She started her career in auditing at PwC. Now she is switching from fashion to sports and leisure when she joins the company, whose board of directors is led by chairman Niclas Eriksson, who recently also took over as CEO of Elkjøp Nordic.
Pontus Petersson, CEO of Nordsport, explains that there was great interest in the position when they were looking for a candidate for the role.
We conducted a recruitment process and met a good field of candidates. This made us happy and humble about how many competent people wanted to contribute to Nordsport's continued development. Liselotth stood out due to the combination of a financial and analytical foundation, understanding of retail and a clear business and operational focus, says Pontus Petersson in a comment.
First change in a long time
Nordsport's management team has had the same setup for a long time. The recruitment of the new CFO will be the first new name around the table in half a decade. The group, which in addition to e-commerce and physical Intersport stores also operates Löplabbet and Sport-Direct, sees the recruitment as a step in the company's continued journey.
Liselotth has leadership, drive and a personality that suits us well. She has the ability to both challenge and develop the business, and I am pleased that we have found the right person for the role. She will be an addition to the management team and important for the next phase in Nordsport's development, says Pontus Petersson.
The main person herself is now preparing to join the headquarters in Mölndal as autumn transitions into winter.
Nordsport is in a development phase. I look forward to getting to know the business and the people behind it, and together with the organization contribute to the company's continued development, says Liselotth Arkblad Öjerhed.
