The story of the company began in the northern archipelago of Gothenburg. On the island of Grötö, with around 80 inhabitants, Martin Rimsberg started the business as a side project. A garden shed was converted into a shop and the guest house became a warehouse for dartboards and accessories.
Goods from suppliers arrived by ferry once a week and were then transported to the house in batches. Once the orders were packed, they were transported back to the nearest post office, sometimes by ferry and sometimes by boat.
Many customers were picked up by boat on the mainland and safely returned after a visit to the island. There weren't perhaps many spontaneous visitors, but sometimes customers stood at the gate looking at Google Maps, and then you quickly understood what they were looking for, describes CEO Martin Rimsberg in a post.
Move to the Mainland
But as the number of customers grew, the space on the island was no longer sufficient. Around Easter 2023, the move took place to a shop on Ringön in Gothenburg.
The company also changed its name from Dartbutik på Grötö AB to the current Dartbutik 501 AB.
Today, the company operates both e-commerce and physical stores in Gothenburg and Stockholm, and is a partner to several of the leading brands in the sport.
Mega Increase in the Books

Profitability is following in the same direction. Operating profit landed at 1.1 million Swedish krona. This is an increase of 742 percent compared to the previous year's 130,328 Swedish krona.
