30 years in the shadows. Now the fashion up-and-comer is taking off.

In a basement location under a corner shop near Mariatorget in Stockholm, clothing collections are designed that have found a loyal customer base far beyond the capital. Since its inception in 1991, the fashion brand Bric A Brac</a> has evolved from a small design project into an established player with e-commerce and three physical stores. Now, the latest annual report shows that the up-and-coming brand continues to grow profitably.

Behind the brand are designers and owners Malin Isaksson Engblom and Christina Fransson Wingås. For over three decades, the duo has built up a range spanning women's and men's clothing, accessories, and selected home textiles under the Objects line. The company employs an average of 7 people and operates from the store on Swedenborgsgatan in Södermalm, where the design studio is located directly below the shop floor.

In addition to its presence in Stockholm, the company has expanded physically over the years. At the end of 2014, a three-story store opened on Lilla Fiskaregatan in Lund, and in March 2023, a third store was added on Rådhusesplanaden in Umeå.

Alongside the physical marketplaces, the company operates e-commerce and sales through retailers in Sweden and internationally.

Revenue and operating profit increase

In the annual report for the 2025 financial year, the company reports positive financial development. Turnover reached SEK 16.2 million, an increase of 3.2 percent compared to the previous year when turnover amounted to SEK 15.7 million.

At the same time, profitability was strengthened. Operating profit increased by 208.1 percent to approximately SEK 494,000, compared to around SEK 1160 400 in 2024.

Production takes place in Europe to maintain short transport distances and close contact with manufacturers. The garments are primarily sewn at three family-owned factories in the area around Vilnius in Lithuania and in Estonia, but the company also works with factories in Italy and weaving operations in the Irish region of Donegal.
