The expansion in Botkyrka means that the store has increased its area from 3,630 square meters to 6,830 square meters. In addition to a broadened sales area, the extension also includes a rooftop parking lot and a café. The business has been operational throughout the construction period.
It is the most advanced expansion we have carried out, while keeping the store open throughout the construction period, says Johan Gerdevåg, Marketing Manager for Biltema Sweden.
Aims for Köping
In addition to the completion in Botkyrka, the chain continues to prepare for new establishments. During June, Biltema signed a land allocation agreement with Köping Municipality for a future store. Currently, there is no fixed schedule for construction start or opening in Köping.
Martin Norrman, CEO of Biltema Real Estate, comments on the situation for the future establishment:
Between Örebro and Västerås there is a large customer base, and together with the proximity to Arboga and other places in the area, we see good conditions for a long-term establishment.
The establishment plans in Köping and the expansion in Botkyrka are part of the company's ongoing physical expansion. Earlier this summer, Biltema has also signed a land allocation agreement in Falun and inaugurated a store in Säffle.
