Bythjul.com Closes Warehouse And Increases Turnover – Reduces Loss By Millions

Claes Kjelldorff, CEO of Bythjul
Fewer employees and eliminated warehouse.

The heavy piles of tires and rims have left the e-commerce company's own shelves for the last time. Bythjul has chosen to redraw its entire business model to a pure dropshipping model. This is leaving quick and clear marks in the company's books, where growing turnover now meets losses that are shrinking rapidly.

Previously, the company handled tires and rims via its own central warehouse, but that model has now been abandoned. In the latest annual report, for the broken fiscal year 2024/2025, management describes how the company has completely switched to letting products be shipped directly from manufacturers and wholesalers to car owners.

This change has also affected the size of the organization. When the warehouse disappeared, so did the workforce of the e-commerce company, which operates in Sweden, Norway and Finland. During the year, the average number of employees decreased from 14 to 9 people.

Turnover Increases And Losses Decrease

The streamlined business model is reflected in the company's financial development.

During the fiscal year, Bythjul Norden AB increased its turnover to SEK 559.6 million. This is an increase of 18 percent from last year's SEK 474 million.

At the same time, the operating result went from -SEK 8.6 million to -SEK 2 million during the latest period. This corresponds to a reduced loss of 77 percent.
