Lindex continues its physical expansion in the Danish market. In the autumn of 2026, the company will open its third store in the country, this time in Aarhus. The investment is taking place in parallel with the company working to stabilize its e-commerce logistics after the spring transitions.

The new store in central Aarhus will cover approximately 900 square meters spread over two floors. The assortment will focus on women's fashion, children's clothing and underwear.

The establishment in Aarhus follows closely on the company's previous expansion in the country. As recently as the end of March this year, Lindex opened its second Danish store in Rosengårdscentret in Odense. The company already has a store in Rødovre Centrum outside Copenhagen.

We are very pleased to continue our expansion in Denmark and open our third store, now in Aarhus. Our physical stores play an important role in creating a more personal relationship with the customer and we look forward to becoming a natural part of the retail trade in Aarhus, says Caroline Öhgren, Chief Commercial Officer at Lindex.

While strengthening its physical presence, e-commerce constitutes a central part of sales via lindex.dk. However, at the beginning of 2026, the digital business was marked by logistical challenges. The company's report for the first quarter showed that Lindex division's e-commerce sales decreased by 10.5 percent in local currencies.

Logistical Challenges for E-commerce

The decline was explained by disruptions in connection with the transfer of online operations to the company's new, highly automated omni warehouse. CEO Susanne Ehnbåge stated in the report that the transition had led to "short-term disruptions in the supply chain to online customers" but that management had taken measures to stabilize operations.

The new omni warehouse represents Lindex division's largest investment to date, costing approximately 110 million euros. The consolidation of warehousing is strategic and is expected, when fully operational, to generate annual savings of approximately 10 million euros and support the company's overall omnichannel strategy going forward.
