Today at 07:00, the ribbon was cut for Biltema's new facility in the Guttane commercial area in Säffle. The department store covers an area of approximately 7,800 square meters and includes, in addition to the standard assortment, the chain's café operations. The inauguration was led by Head of Nordic Operations Adelina Voci and Marketing Manager Johan Gerdevåg.

"This is a day we have been looking forward to for a long time. The reception in Säffle has been fantastic and it is very fun to finally open and welcome everyone here," says Johan Gerdevåg, Marketing Manager at Biltema Sverige.

The department store has been built according to the company's latest concept and constitutes Biltema's 65th store in the Swedish market. The establishment is part of the retail chain's ongoing expansion in the Nordic region and results in approximately 30 local jobs.

"We want to make everyday life easier for people and gather everything under one roof. It should be easy to shop whether it's for the car or the garden," says Adelina Voci, Head of Retail Nordic.

The opening in Säffle follows the company's previous launch in March, when a rebuilt department store was inaugurated in Luleå.

At the same time, work continues in Karlstad. There, the previous department store was permanently closed in December 2025 to make way for a new construction on the same plot, which led to approximately 60 employees being laid off. The new department store in Karlstad is expected to open its doors in 2027.
