The e-commerce running specialist, which started its business online in 2005 in Danish Hadsten, has grown over time into an international player in the European market.
Since 2023, the company has been owned by the listed group Wesports, a decision that created conditions for further expansion in the Nordics. Last year, Löparshop reached a turnover of 510 million Swedish kronor.
And now on Friday, April 24th, the company will open its first physical store on Swedish soil, specifically in Bromma.
We want to be where the runners are. In Bromma, we are close to both casual runners and dedicated athletes, and that makes it possible to create a store that is truly actively used, says Ivan Jæger Christiansen, CEO of Löparshop in the press release.
Operating the new store is done in collaboration with sister company Skicom.
David Sterner, CEO of Skicom, notes that the physical presence fulfills a function that e-commerce finds it difficult to fully replicate on its own:
Online is strong when it comes to convenience, but in the store we can offer something else: presence, personal advice and the opportunity to see, feel and try the products. We take the time for every runner, regardless of level, and help to find the right equipment. That is the experience we want to create in Bromma, he says.
At the same time, the entire company is celebrating 21 years as an e-commerce business.
