After 8 Years: Founder Returns As Partner – "incredibly inspiring"

New management
Takes over after the giant.

From April 2026, Wikinggruppen will once again be privately owned. The new ownership constellation consists of CEO Albin Jansson, Caroline Berg and Johan Söderberg from the management team, former owner and founder Jonte Bergman, and Monitor ERP. The deal means that the company will be separated from Visma, which has been the owner since 2018.

The change of ownership marks a shift in strategy for the e-commerce provider. In the autumn of 2024, Visma launched the e-commerce platform Acendy, which meant that Wikinggruppen's role within the group was increasingly focused on special solutions and B2B support, while Acendy was packaged as a pure SaaS offering. With the new independent ownership structure, Wikinggruppen will instead allocate resources to further develop its own platform.

By standing on our own feet, we can accelerate the development of Wikinggruppen's platform. As an independent entity, we are taking a new approach and have greater opportunities to continue building on our strengths, says Albin Jansson, CEO of Wikinggruppen.

Partners from the manufacturing industry

The entry of Hudiksvall-based Monitor ERP as a partner means a new collaboration focused on the industrial sector. Monitor ERP develops business systems for manufacturing companies. The companies are planning a technical integration between the e-commerce platform and the business system to create seamless data flows for their joint customers.

We see great potential in the collaboration with Wikinggruppen, where together we can create a stronger offering for Swedish industry. Through a closer integration between e-commerce and business systems, we can help our joint customers streamline their processes and strengthen their competitiveness, says Jörgen Persson, owner of Monitor ERP.

Founder back in operational role

Jonte Bergman, who founded Wikinggruppen in 1998, is returning in connection with the buy-out as a partner and chairman of the board. According to the company, he will also have an operational role in the daily business.

Wikinggruppen, which I started and built up, has been an important part of my life. To now have the opportunity to come back and continue building feels both natural and incredibly inspiring, says Jonte Bergman.
