Power Invests 13 Million: "Undoubtedly the Strongest"

"Location has been a top priority".

After noting sales in the millions during the initial hours of previous store openings, Power is now continuing to expand its physical presence. The electronics chain is ready to move into Arninge C in northeastern Stockholm to establish one of its largest department stores.

The new agreement covers areas previously rented by Ica Kvantum. Around the current retail spaces, a development project of a total of 5,350 square meters is underway. Of these square meters, Power will build its store on approximately 3,100 square meters.

The investment for the establishment is estimated at around 13 million Swedish kronor.

Arninge is an established commercial area in strong development and exactly where Power wants to be. We seek locations with a lot of activity and potential, and Arninge has both, says CEO Magnus Kreuger and continues:

This is a classic bigbox location, meaning a large and visible commercial building with excellent parking and accessibility, in the middle of Arninge's strongest retail cluster. Arninge is undoubtedly the strongest retail location in northeastern Greater Stockholm and a location that has been a top priority for us.

Agreement Signed for Future Expansion

The contract for the premises in Arninge C has been signed together with the property company Genesta.

This is an important step in the development of Arninge C. We are filling a central part of the retail area with a strong and relevant range that complements the whole and makes Arninge C even more attractive to visitors, says Emma Stenlund, Investment Manager at Genesta.

Going forward, the chain plans to open between 10 and 15 new stores in the country in the coming years. Within a few months, two department stores will be inaugurated, located on Kungsgatan and in Halmstad.

This is another step in our offensive expansion in Sweden, and we are far from finished. We are also noticing a clear shift in the market – more and more property owners have noticed our commercial successes and expansive ambitions. This means that today we receive more inquiries than ever about attractive locations, which creates fantastic opportunities for us going forward, says Magnus Kreuger.

The store in Arninge is planned to be completed and ready to receive customers in early 2027.
