"A natural part".

Following successful initial tests in Denmark, Boozt’s AI assistant is now being launched in the Swedish market. In connection with the rollout, the e-retailer announces that it has acquired 20 percent of the Danish AI startup Dialog Intelligens.

This week sees the introduction of Boozt’s AI-powered shopping assistant for Swedish customers on the web version of boozt.com. This follows shortly after the company, as Ehandel.se reported at the end of March, seeing measurable effects from its early tests in Denmark in the form of higher conversion rates and increased average order value.

The assistant is designed to provide guidance within the range and answer specific questions about fit, material and availability in near real time.

Investment for Faster Introduction

To reduce time to market, Boozt has chosen to implement existing technology rather than building the functionality from scratch. The company has acquired a 20 percent ownership stake in Dialog Intelligens, a Danish early-stage startup specializing in customized AI assistants for the e-commerce sector.

The technology from Dialog Intelligens is directly integrated into Boozt’s platform and is based on the e-commerce retailer’s own customer data, assortment structure and category insight.

AI is becoming a natural part of how modern e-commerce platforms work, says Hanui Ye, Director of FinTech and AI Lead at Boozt.

Our focus is to combine inspiration with in-depth product knowledge and integrate it directly into our platform. The speed of implementation demonstrates how we work with new technology in practice.

Part of a Broader Strategy

The rollout in Sweden is part of the company’s broader digital strategy. As Ehandel.se previously reported, Boozt is working with agentic AI also within internal processes, including automating campaign analysis. The long-term goal is to build a dedicated AI operating system for e-commerce where the technology is controlled within its own infrastructure.

The functionality will soon be made available on the group’s all markets, which also includes the outlet platform Booztlet.
