Byggmax Group reports a total net sales of SEK 6.1 billion for 2025. This corresponds to an increase of 2.5 percent compared to the previous year. The operating profit for the year amounted to SEK 306 million, which is an increase of 73 percent.
AI to Drive Online Purchases
Sales via the internet amounted to SEK 1.1 billion during 2025, and e-commerce today accounts for 18 percent of total turnover.
To meet consumers digitally, the building materials retailer has invested in new technology and launched several AI-based solutions. The Chat'n'Shop function has been added to the website. It is an AI tasked with handling customer service inquiries and providing product recommendations.
Employees in the physical stores have also gained access to updated digital tools, including new features on employees' handheld computers that allow them to manage stock levels and product information.
In 2026, we will continue to strengthen the core business by becoming even more relevant to customers, increasing sales in existing infrastructure and continuing to drive high efficiency throughout the business, says the company's CEO Karl Sandlund.
Adjustments in Web Assortment
During the past year, the company has reviewed its e-commerce assortment. This has resulted in adjustments to the range, with some articles being phased out while the customized assortment has been developed.
Online, they now offer various made-to-measure parts and products. E-commerce customers also have the opportunity to order greenhouses and modular buildings that can be customized according to their own dimensions and color choices. The products are then delivered either directly to the buyer's home or to a local store for collection.
Logistics is managed via a central warehouse to optimize the filling rate in the trucks before the goods reach the end consumer or the store network.
